So you know when you have a sleepover with your best friend and you try to plan out a really cool morning where you'd wake up early, find the perfect outfit, go to a cute little diner and eat breakfast, then walk around, look a cute shops, and learn interesting new things... but then you go to sleep at 3 o'clock in the morning and wake up at around noon and the whole morning is ruined... yeah well that is typically us, but surprisingly not this morning.
Sunday, July 12, 7:19 am-- Bella's phone beeped; she got a text. I was already awake but she didn't know that because our alarm wouldn't go off for another 30 minutes. She checked her phone and when she turned it on, I was surprised to see that it was already 7:19; I was really tired. Me being the totally normal person I am stared at her in the creepiest way possible in hope that she would look back at me and scream... however that didn't happen. Instead she looked the other way and went back to sleep:( 30 minutes later our alarm went off. I quickly woke up and turned it off. "No freakin' way", I thought... I was really tired and frankly I wanted to go back to sleep and forget about the cool morning ahead...
This is typically where we then decide that it's too early and that we'd rather sleep then get up and go to breakfast... but today we didn't do that.
We slowly got up out of my comfortable bed and went to the bathroom to get ready. Task number 1: wake up and get out of bed. Done! Task number 2: pick an outfit and finish getting ready. Incomplete. Of course Bella already had a cute outfit... but what about me?!? Bella had her cute shorts with a black haltered crop top and a nice grey sweater, and I had leggings and my pajama shirt that had a crocodile on it... yeah I know right. Thankfully, after a long, hard, painstaking 5 minutes of looking through my closet, I finally found a shirt. It was a black t-shirt crop top with a plaid like print from Brandy Melville. We then did our makeup and hair and we left. Task number 2. Done! After convincing my parents to give us money, we were off. We walked to a new little breakfast place called Kitchen Sunnyside. When we got there, we were immediately sat down. Once done looking at the menu, we decided on English Breakfast tea and a banana nutella crepe for me, green tea and buttermilk pancakes for her, and a side of hash browns for the both of us. We were quickly served the tea which was alright but not the best. Then we were served our food which was amazing. It was easily one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while and considering Bella doesn't really eat breakfast, we can say the same for her. After eating, we were very, very full. We asked for the check and paid. All in all, it was $31.47 plus tip so $37.13. Definitely a bit expensive but definitely worth it. Task number 3: go to a little diner and eat breakfast. Done! We then walked downtown to a bookstore. There we looked at books about our town 100 years ago and let me just say, "Wow, things have changed!" We saw pictures of coffee shops, movie theaters, train stops, and much more. Surprisingly, somethings were still there like the train stop (even though trains don't go through there anymore), the movie theater, and some trees. It was really cool to see the place that we knew inside out completely different. And to be completely honest, we liked it better 100 years ago. Now knowing all these crazy things about our home town, we decided to visit a little historical monument. It was a little structure made from wood but it used to be a train stop. We took pictures and tried to imagine what it would be like standing there and waiting for the train. 30,000,000+ photos later we decided to go to one of our favorite local stores called Monarch. Monarch is a little Indian store that sells traditional Indian dress, jewelry, and other Indian things like that. I swear we might have smelled over 30 different candles and tried on over 50 rings but we ended up buying to identical bracelets. Task number 4: go to cute little shops and learn interesting new things. Done! We walked back to my house and talked about high school, what life would be like if we were neighbors, and about our trip to L.A. but you'll here about that later.
Definitely the perfect morning!
keep smiling;)
